The Quick Topic link above will take you to a separate website where Depression Glass collectors can post questions, comments or pictures of American made glass or pottery. Anyone is welcome to join in to ask or answer. Participation is very much encouraged. But, any offers to sell glass or pottery is strictly forbidden and those posts will be deleted. If you want to sell items you should check with your local antique shops, auction houses, online auction sites, etc. We can help with identification, but not provide evaluations or appraisals.
You can go to the message board any time to read, but the best way to keep this forum active is to subscribe so you'll be notified by email whenever something new is posted. It's very unobtrusive. All you need to register is your email address...no other information at all. It's much easier than trying to remember to check it. You can choose to receive an email when each post is made, or just a daily digest once a day. Either way, it's much easier to bookmark the page and then go directly to the message board rather than reading the emails. If a picture is posted, you'd have to go to the page directly to see any pictures that have been posted anyway. They do not show up in the emails. Keep the link handy in your favorites for easy access. There are several links at the top of the message board/chat page. The first one is a link to the homepage of Great Lakes Depression Glass Club which sponsors and monitors the message board. The next link is the homepage of National Depression Glass Association. There you will find links to collector organizations all over the country. The GLDGC would like to invite other Depression Glass Clubs to use and participate in this Chat Page. You may link to it on your own websites. If you do this, please email me, Debi Raitz, at DRaitz@aol.com and I will add your club website link to the top of the message board. It will aid your members in returning to their home club page. |
